Ok, so ‘Be More’ finally pick himself up and put his photography hat on and decided he was not going to miss another meetup unless he was pronounced dead!
I really enjoyed this shoot it help me realised how much I have missed using my camera, the model mua’s and conversing with other togs around the same skill. This shoot was supposed to be a located around the Bansky Tunnel in Waterloo but the BBC was filming an Eastender’s spin off so we had to relocate. So now the shoot at the Southbank Graffiti Park and It became a decent substitute for the Bansky Tunnel.
The atmosphere was electric everyone was on there game and needed to be, there was a lot of new togs, Togs and Muas ready to show what they can do. The pics came out really well and I learned a lot about my ability and what I need to work on for future shoots. And that’s really what these shoots are about, learning from each of other and trying something new.
I can say my photography levels wouldn’t be where they are without these meetups.

Welcome back to another London Speedlite Scene Photo-shoot, This was located in the energize fitness club in Forest hill and was shot within the gym apparatus. The theme was athletic wear and sports which I think went down well with the models.
Ok so Karen Salandy again dragged me along to another shoot, this is where it all began. I met Nathan Thomson, Ayad and Maurice Strobes all excellent photographers in there own right. I mean this was the beginning of something special. In the world of an amateur photography its hard to get shoot without paying money for studio time, models and make-up artist’s.
Wait a minute why should one man pay? why don’t we all chip- in and share the images we need create after the shoot is done. So Nathan started his own speedlite group called London Speedlite Scene which is growing everyday. Every month or so new togs, models and mua’s get down and dirty and try and put in our best work possible.
What’s really good is that its a way for amateur togs to understand and learn from each other. Also its extremely valuable experience which is priceless in this day and age.

Be More was invited to this exclusive event which featured models with lots of class and style. I managed to persuade Karen Salandy to drag me along and so glad I did. The hair and the models looked fantastic plus we had Karen on board to apply her expert make-up skills. I hope you enjoy the pictures would love to hear your comments aswell.
The hair & Fashion designs was created by Angela M Plummer and Morris Roots.
For this shoot I was at the making of Dalila ‘Ya Salam’s music video which was being directed by Antoine Bellot-Dixon. He was in the middle or creating an amazing video and booked me to photo shoot his latest creation. The director from Mastermind productionz was back to his very best and the set, lighting and back drops looked mouth watering in every way. I felt really privileged to be a the video creation and was not going to disappoint with the photos.

This photo was in an excellent location and the sun was bright shining trough some large window. This was great for my photos as I meant I got some great composition shots of the model. The colours within the warehouse were really bright and colourfull and made the pictures really come to life.
This shoot was kind of a spare of the moment thing, I have never shot at a music video shoot before and wasn’t really properly prepared for the shoot. I did it as a favor to help my friends music group called the FUNK MOB. They are currently producing house music and they are really good at what they do, trust me they will go far. While I was shooting I was trying to catch the fun atmosphere that I think we all experienced and it was so nice to see young people working and getting on together in a creative at environment, I felt at home.
The location was a bar like club that had a bowling alley down extension. The lighting in the club was very low which didn’t help my photography out very much, but I worked with it!

While I was working for the Peabody Trust I was given a lot opportunities for my creative side to come through in my work. This brief required me to create a leaflet that will encourage people to come into the learning centre and use the facilities, in return we see what avenues of help we can give them or just help them to find work. So I went with the (Aim High) theme which was to try and lift people and aim high in whatever they are doing. Who knows what will happen when you do, or where it could take you? I also used Century Gothic Font, as usual I love this font it has always been one of my favs.
The conclusion is that I wanted to try and uplift people to better there lives in what ever they are doing. I wanted them to think positive and let them know that there is always someone to help.

(To date the Engine Room is no longer running but there are still loads of centre’s that are running the same ethos. Check you local borough to find out what going on in your area.)
One evening I’m just minding my own business when I get a call from Jake C. He tell me that he’s needs a photographer to take some professional head shots of him. I tell him that I’ve never really done head shots before but he doesn’t know anyone else who doing photography at the moment and that he needs the photos done asap. So I invited him round and we start talking about what type of shots he wants, we browse on the web and look at what type of shots were aiming for.
Now we start shooting and because were both newbie’s at this we basically started off practicing and warming up and till the photos started getting to a standard that we were both happy with.
I also found that making people comfortable with their surroundings, that your get more natural expressions and reactions from them. Plus more natural smiles too.
